Five Element Ninjas (1982) (Blu-ray) (13 Mar 2012)

My computer won't allow Bluray screen captures (due to DRM), but thanks to Craig I have some screen prints to work with.

Here is a comparison between the DVD version (also released by Tokyo Shock).  The DVD is a dual layer DVD9 disc, screen image of 843x480, while the Bluray shows off 1920x1080.  The transfer looks the same from the Celestial Hong Kong release, except the US version is Region 1 and contain the English Audio track (which is actually very good, considering that these movies were filmed with the intent of dubbing later).

I'm sure you can find online better comparisons, but either version is way better than CHINESE SUPER NINJAS released by Crash Cinema a while back (I also own this, but have put it in storage when the better print version surfaced).  Watching the Bluray vs DVD on a 1080 HD TV, they both look fantastic, but I do recommend the Bluray version over the DVD because the 1080 image is native and doesn't have to scale up from 480.
