You can head into Best Buy or Gamestop and get a free Steelbook case if you pre-order Assassin's Creed III. I actually did put down $5 to get the case, but I have no intention of actually buying the game on launch date.  Instead, the smart money is to wait three months later when the game drops in price or just wait until you see a sale.

Currently, Best Buy is selling Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood for $20, which is a $40 savings from its original price of $60.
