Well, from my understand, Best Buy got a massive shipment of bad discs. If you bought Dredd from Best Buy, chances are it will not play.

I can confirm that the disc that I bought from Wal-Mart works. Plus, it's cheaper ($20 vs $25 at Best Buy).

Anyway, Dredd is my favorite movie of 2012, and trust me when I tell you that I've seen a lot of movies last year.  This one is the best. 

You're probably wondering - why isn't RAID: REDEMPTION (2012) a contender?  Well, simply put: THE RAID's story is somewhat lacking. There is no story, but lots of great action. With DREDD, there's character development and for a simple: go to the top plotline - they introduced some great obstacles!  I don't want to give it away, if you haven't seen this terrific picture.

Fans of ROBOCOP, THE RAID, and the original DIE HARD, should check out DREDD.
