Coming out September 25th is the new Blu-Ray boxset for LONE WOLF AND CUB.  The retail pricing is cheap (about $60), much cheaper than its DVD boxset, which originally sold for over $150.

I am a fan of the original manga, and even bought the original Animeigo's VHS (for $30 a piece).  I own all of the single DVD release, so I probably won't be getting the Blu-Ray boxset... but it is at a sweet price.

If the Blu-Ray version are just direct transfers from the DVD, then expect uncensored and original translation and perhaps colored subtitles (to indicate different speakers).

Alternatively, you can also pick up the SHOGUN ASSASSIN 5-Disc Boxset for $40, this is the UK/English dub and heavily edited to fit six movies into one or two features.  I'm not a fan of the edited movie, but if you grew up on this film or can't stand subtitles, then go with the English version.  They are different movies, similar to the US and Japan's version of the original GODZILLA.
