Celestial Pictures has announced the winner of the Shaw Brothers remake screenplay competition.

Celestial will produce the screenplay by competition winner Tian Li, a remake of Love with the Perfect Stranger (1985) starring actor-director Derek Yee and Pauline Wong, whose debut screen performance won the best actress award at the 5th Hong Kong Film Awards. The script also won best screenplay at the ceremony. Tian Li will develop the new project under the guidance of  Taiwanese director-actress Sylvia Chang, perhaps best know to Western audiences for her role in Ang Lee's Eat Drink Man Woman.
