I just saw the latest Tom Cruise movie, Oblivion, at the discounted theater. I was kind of surprise to see the movie on the second run theaters because it seemed to me like Oblivion just came out on theaters? For what it was, I thought Oblivion was pretty entertaining. I sort of piece together the story, based on the obvious clues. I personally thought it would be better if the movie started off without the voice over by Cruise. I didn't need Cruise's character to explain what was going on. My other issues with the movie are that everything looked too clean and things that would normally be destroyed remained intact post-apocalypse. For example, the viewers at the empire state buildings are untouched but everything surrounding it is destroyed. Same thing with unblemished books, teddy bears, sunglasses…. That made absolutely no sense to me. I guess my advice is to not think about those things, it is still a pretty entertaining movie. Just enjoy the ride.
