Here are some movies that I would love to see in theaters (if it's playing nearby). Read more weheartmusic.com.

BUNOHAN: RETURN TO MURDER

I quite like the title Bunohan: Return to Murder, even though I will probably not remember the Malaysian name, but rather the "return to murder" part. This movie is being played in selective theaters and tells a story of three people (Adil, Bakar and Ilham) although the trailer really only focused on two: Adil the kickboxer and Ilham the hitman.

Reading the synopsis/plot of the movie, it actually spoils some things, so perhaps it's best if you didn't read anything on this movie.

Watching the trailer, I can tell you that the kickboxing looks great.

EVIL DEAD (2013)

I love the original and its two sequels, so naturally, I'm drawn and interested in the brand new re-make.

Since already watching the so-called "red band trailer" whatever that means, I've been told that the new Ash is actually a girl called Ashley. I wonder if there will be hand-chopping involved (it looks likely) and just how director Fede Alvarez will re-invent his version of the film. Will it bring anything new to the table, or will it just be placed in the strings of the Freddy, Jason, and Chainsaw re-makes in semi-recent years.

One thing is for sure, it looks bloody, and that's a plus in my book.

STOKER

Who isn't a fan of Park Chan-Wook? If you haven't seen Oldboy, you must check it out... although it's not really a film for anyone. I'm a fan. I have the originally DVD release, the special Boxset and eventually the Blu-Ray tin case with his other two Vengeance films.

So I've established that I'm a fan, but will America embraced this Korean director? He certainly has his vision, which looks like a psychological thriller/horror film. I couldn't quite figure what the movie is all about: is the Stoker family some weird creatures?

I hope this isn't terribly spoiling, but based on the weird name "Stoker", I think there is a vampire connection (Bram Stoker wrote Dracula) going on? Think about.

Music fan? You can stream "In Full Bloom" by Clint Marshall via Soundcloud. You can order the soundtrack now.

THE HOBBIT & THE LORD OF THE RINGS
silvascreen.com

Silva Screen Records presents Music from The Hobbit & The Lord of The Rings, collecting the best themes from Howard Shore's scores for the blockbuster trilogy The Lord Of The Rings plus music from the 2012 smash hit The Hobbit.

As much as I like the original Peter Jackson three films, I though spanning the Hobbit into three additional movies was a bit too much. I haven't had the desire to actually try and make it to a screen for the Hobbit, but I would not mind picking up the Blu-Ray boxset when that is eventually released.

In the meantime, if you like orchestral soundtrack from the original films, I suspect this new collection will be right up your alley. Performed by The City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Evan Jolly and Nic Raine. Music written by Howard Shore.

The CD and digital release was made available this week: February 26th.
